A 2nd Cup is a s p a c i o u s coffee shop located in The Heights Houston. But it's unlike many of the other coffee shops in Houston. This group aims to end human trafficking and help victims through awareness and cups of caffeine.
If you didn't already know, Houston is a major hub for human trafficking. I don't know about you, but I personally believe our city is way too awesome to have such a foul business lingering. So, let's all do our part and help organizations, like A 2nd Cup, end the crime. When you buy from A 2nd Cup, you could be saving someone's future.
Ambience:
Slavery is a dark subject, but A 2nd Cup is anything but dark. In fact, it's so bright that you might notice one, or more, of these 3 side effects: joy, productivity, and warmth. And that's warm as in the sunlight warms the place up.
You know that morning feeling when you're lying in bed and the room fills up with pure sunlight? Then, you think to yourself, "it's gonna be a gooood day!" <--- THAT'S exactly how you'll feel when you walk into this coffee shop.
Caffeine:
I recommend the Secret Squirrel and my friend Renée recommends the Sweet Tot. They're both scrumptious ... a little sweeter than what I normally go for but worth it.
Last Thoughts:
For my friend Renée, this coffee shop meant positive vibes. She was reminded that resolving social injustice starts with U.S. -- as in me and you and the rest of the United States -- that made her feel empowered.
For Me, I love and appreciate that they're fighting for other people's freedom. That's the same passion that founded this country and is reflected in Lady Liberty.
